My first challenge post

Hiya all,

I have started to do some pages just for fun. I decided earlier in the year it is time to find my own style. I have been to countless classes and I want to keep doing a few classes as it is some much fin talking to ladies that have the same passion as I do. However with all that said I realise that the next step for me is to go out on my own. To stop copying and work on the pages that make me happy.

I have more resources that one lady should be entitled to. I have been collecting bits and pieces for years now and now is the time to stop being frightened to use start using them. I need to stop comparing myself to others which is usually what  cripples any creativity and just do it.

I thought a way to do this might be to use some of the challenge sites around to set a theme or sketch for a page and just go for it. Here is my first attempt for a the Ónce upon a sketch' June challenge.

This is of course a photo of my little man Dwaine which some of you might have seen when we rescued them about this time last year. Whilst they are now so much bigger it is lovely to look back and remember how cute they were when they were only 4 weeks old.

I hope you like it.
Regards
Angela

Back on the blog

Hello again,

As always I am writing this with all good intentions of trying to keep up with blog posts. Once a week would be fantastic not once a year!
Anyway here is a little something I have been working on today.

This is my hubby and he truly is my perfect man. Love him to bits!
I used his photo for colour palette and once I scrounged around I found enough papers to blend in. If it didn't match I just inked it a little to match. I used Dylusions to make my splatters and some metal embellishments. I had to use gesso over my paper to be able to make my journal words stand out and I did my private journaling on a tuck in tag.

My hubby was quite taken with it (particularly the title) and agreed with the sentiment!!

Anyway until next time.

Stay warm
