I love mixed media.

I have finally finished my latest page. I love this little pic of my granddaughter (who is now 3 mind you) but I remember when she was this size. Boy they grow quickly.
I have had a lovely time using heaps of mixed media. I love it my only trouble is I often start a piece and end up with a messy page and paint everywhere. This one finally though seemed to work out. I will admit there is a messy bit under the photo but what you can't see wont hurt you!

So I put a layer of gesso, a layer of prima glass beads, lots of prima sprays until I got the right colours, cotton candy, tangerine pearl white and some gold. More gesso on the frame and in background, more spray and ink tense pencils. Finally all my flowers some prima some bits I found in my jars.

I loved the result and can't wait to put it in it's frame and hang it.
