Just wanted to share a technique I have been exploring using Genesis creations 'Liquid Radiance' Dyes.
This wonderful dye was introduced to me on our trip into Qld a year or so ago. We camped next to a young family and Fiona was a consultant and teacher using the dye/ink. We had lots of fun dying cloth in a variety of ways. It is very much like the tie dying fashion of years ago but the lovely thing about this dye is it can be set using an iron.
It is an acrylic based product and you only have to use a tiny bit in water to get the most vivid colours. You can use a squeeze bottle to place your dye or spray in onto wet fabric. The dye then bleeds togther to make the most fabulous colours.
Anyway I have experimented using it in a variety of ways on fabric but last night it came out in my scrapbooking. I wet a piece of Bazzill cardstock and let go with three of the blended inks to create a backdrop of a page about our visit to the Toy Factory and big rocking horse at Gumeracha in Adelaide.
After leaving it over night to dry I then did some stamping and added papers, photos and embellishments. I love the effect of the mottled paper.
Cheers,
Angela
