Lazy Monday

Monday 6th April

A Lovely Lazy Monday

Hello there,

I have been enjoying a lovely lazy public holiday Monday. Hubby is not due home until later today and so I have had some time in my craft studio.

Firstly, I used the scraps left over from my Pussy Cat Pussy Cat page to make a card.
It was very simple and I must say with coordinated papers from Kaisercraft and their collectables sets it is a breeze to produce any number of great cards quickly.

After that I thought I would have some fun using inks and acrylic paints. I just wanted to experiment with mixing colours in different ways.
The creative card and the tag were done with Tim Holtz distress inks and then stamped and the final card was done with a range of different acrylic paints,

I wrapped the final card in contrasting string taken from an idea my step daughter has been using to make art works which she has been selling. I really liked the effect and might try some more using a range of fibre. Its a bit hard to see in the photo but I sprayed the card with a gold shimmer spray and it sparkles beautifully as you turn it in the light.

I hope you like them.

Until next time,

Angela

Hi Angela, I saw your comment on Scrapaddict blog and thought I would visit you just to say that we are in the same boat! How do you get followers? I have been posting my projects at Scrapbook.com because they have a lot of visitors daily. I am on a DT for CSI. I also post on my Facebook profile and on Pinterest. It is strange writing on your blog when you dont know if anyone is going to see it! Its almost like writing a dairy, but you cant say, Dear Diary, blah, blah blah! I am also a young grandmother. I have four grandchildren and am 52. Lets swap notes and see what works for us. My blog is www.magicalmagpie@wordpress.com , being a wordpress blog and still floundering my way through I cant offer you any advice on that but maybe it will help if I become one of your followers? ;) Look forward to chatting Gail
